Crisis in Japan

What is there to say? The situation is so dire there is really nothing to say. I am not a religious person but clearly Japan needs prayers, prayers from the world. I have been listening to the worsening news all day. It kind of makes our problems here seem so small. It is also clear that we must move away from nuclear energy as a source of power.

The recent earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan have driven the message home that we need an emergency kit. I think we will be pulling something together over the next little while. We are woefully unprepared here plus we have 7 dogs to look after as well. A great source of information is the Provincial Emergency Plan website. I think the only we can do here is to prepare ourselves for the quake they say will hit us.

  1. I would definitely put something together if I were you and living on the coast! Esp. if you have 7 doggies!
